On the tenth day our guest will arrive in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province and its political, economic and cultural center. With its famous natural beauty and cultural heritages, Hangzhou is one of China's most important tourist destinations. Our guest will be staying at the Hangzhou Holiday Inn which is walking distance from the ever tranquil West Lake. That evening we will all have dinner at West Lake where there are numerous upscale restaurants.
Hangzhou also has some excellent shopping. Some have compared Yanan Road to a street in Paris. A stroll down Yanan Road will lead you to the new Wulin Square. If it is the nightlife that our guests desire they will have no problem finding entertainment on Nanshan Road on West Lake. Nanshan Road is home to several nightclubs and bars.
On day eleven we will travel to Fei Lai Feng. Fei Lai Feng is a pure limestone mountain that is very distinctive from the sandstone mountains around it. Large stones scattered along the peak are said to resemble animals like a flying dragon, a running elephant, a crouching tiger, and a fleeing monkey. Fei Lai Feng is most likely to simulate the imagination and make one reluctant to leave.
After the stimulus of the Limestone Mountain we will visit Ling Yin Temple. The temple is without doubt a premier showpiece in the West Lake region and is notable also as one of the ten most famous Buddhist temples of China. In its heyday, the temple comprised nine buildings, eighteen pavilions, seventy-seven palaces and halls with over thirteen hundred rooms providing accommodation for around three thousand monks.
For Lunch we will indulge in China's famous Hot Pot than we will visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda. The Six Harmonies Pagoda is is one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures. It is octagonal in shape and some 196 feet in height, it also has the appearance of being a thirteen-story structure, though it only has seven interior stories. Upon ascending the pagoda, visitors will have a spectacular view of the Qiantang River Bridge spanning the surging tides of the Qiantang River.
After the Six Harmonies Pagoda guest are welcome to have free time to enjoy all of the great sights and activities that Hangzhou has to offer. |
