Karaoke

Experience one of Asia's most beloved past times: Karaoke.  Sing, Dance and enjoy the good times singing your favorite songs.

Painting

The students will spend one afternoon doing a small group project.  They will paint a scenic riverside view of the Li River.  Also, they will do an individual painting of a subject of their choice.  Yangshuo's beauty provides enough inspiration even for a beginning artist. 

Cormorant Fishing

The students will witness the ancient art of Cormorant fishing.  This ancient technique almost long forgotten is still in effect in Yanghshuo.  Cormorant fisherman use their feathered friends to help catch their evening meals.  Trust me, the birds are having fun.

Massage

All students will get a chance to receive a traditional "blind man" massage.  This ancient art has been used by the Chinese for thousands of years and is still very cherished today.  After a long day of hiking a massage  really hits the spot.

Chinese Hot Pot

Much like the Fondue of the West.  Chinese people love to eat "Hot Pot".  All students will enjoy a large "Hot Pot" dinner.  The variety of foods will challenge the finicky eater.  With choices like pig brains and fish eyes this is truly a fun experience.  Don't worry the main staple food in "Hot Pot" is beef and green vegetables.  One side of the pot is served spicy hot for the adventurous and the other side mild for a calmer experience.

Ping-Pong

All students will get the chance to play Ping-Pong and receive instruction from a world class champion Ping-Pong player.  "Forest" a local artist who was on the Chinese National Ping-Pong team and has published several books on the art of this often misunderstood sport we give a brief performance and then lead an informative workshop.  Forest is always ready for his next brave challenger.
